Many of you got a special sneak peek of your favourite craft mags at our exclusive office open day…
Despite the pesky and constant rain, it didn’t dampen spirits at All Craft Media’s HQ today as we threw open our office doors for our very first Open Day – to give all you readers, contributors, designers and crafting enthusiasts a chance to learn more about how your magazines are thought up and made.
Over 10 people turned up in Takeley to check out stitchy magazines, such as Modern Quilting, Sew Hip, Knit, Inside Crochet and lifestyle mag Simply Beautiful, as well as the shiny new copies of Handmade Fashion (arrived this morning! Excitement!). Visitors got to meet the editors and their teams who think up features and projects, and got to have an exclusive look at the projects coming up in the next few issues. A question and answer session gave you guys a chance to learn all about the wonderful world of magazines as well as get some tips from our experts.
After lunch, we took to the local fields to watch a photo shoot for Inside Crochet take place – and we just managed to get the pics of the lovely beige shawl and kiddies cardigan before the brilliant British weather really opened up! There was still time for a group shot though, as team and crafters mingled over numerous cups of tea and coffee!
